Transferring your payment directly out to Portugal

Why transfer my payment directly - ADVANTAGES

  • You save paying the £5 per payment transfer fee.
  • You get a better exchange rate at the time of booking.

Why transfer my payment directly - DISADVANTAGES

  • When you make your final payment you will pay the Euro v GBP rate at the time.
  • If you pay in Sterling your price is fixed when you book.
  • You may still have to pay a transfer fee.

Some services you can use for your money transfer:

  1. YOUR BANK - We use our bank to transfer money to Portugal. The rate is normally decent but not the best and they use a system called SEPA that costs £9 per transfer. The benefit is it's very simple with just one phone call (First Direct).
  2. A MONEY TRANSFER SPECIALIST - A company we have used is Money Corp. Their charge was £15 but the rate was better than our bank so for a £500 transfer we were about £15 better off. There are many companies offering this type of service and fees differ so please shop around. Other links are http://www.currencytoday.co.uk, http://www.ukforex.co.uk and http://www.torfx.com
  3. LOCAL MONEY SERVICES - You may find that on your high street you have a business that will transfer the money for you with a very small or no fee. We have had several clients use the services very successfully.

For all the services you will need our bank details and often our home address. we will provide these to you in our booking email.
